Hello Music Lovers. Thanks for checking in on what's happening here at Dameusic.

News Flash...

Ahhh, summer. EJG is gearing up for tours starting June 13th and on through the summer so please check the calender and stay tuned. We've had some great shows recently. Check out the fab review of our last Barbes show from Lucid Culture. The new record is out and available on-line at CDBaby.com along with both our earlier releases. So go get one!!!

We had great press associated with the fall record release tour including a profile piece on NY1 and an on-air appearance on WNYC's Spinning on Air with David Garland. You can listen to the whole show at www.wnyc.org/shows/spinning/episodes/2009/10

You can still view the NY1 spot at www.ny1.com/Default.aspx?ArID=104062. We also had a piece on Brooklyn Independent Television's Neighborhood Beats Series (Prospect Heights segment) . View that at www.bricartsmedia.org/community-media/brooklyn-independent-television/neighborhood-beat/prospect-heights.

In other press related news, the Japanese TV network NHK did a 20 minute docmentary on me and EJG that aired in Japan only on Dec. 12th, 2009. The show is called NYWave and features unique NYC artists. There are also tons of new videos up on YouTube from the tour so if you haven't seen enough yet...check em' out.

Check out our MySpace page, become our friend. There are lots of new pics up and new video too at Myspace.com/electricjunkyardgamelan

Other Terry Dame projects: Dawn Drake's "chill-ganic" latin funk explosion Zapote, in which I play sax, had some great shows in town and on the road this summer. We'll be continuing our residency at L'Orange Bleau's Monday Night Drum series and the monthy Saturday night carnival party. It's a delicious French/Morrocan restaurant/bar. Great music, great food, nice people. Check it and all upcoming dates with Zapote at www.myspace.com/dawndrake and come get your groove on with us. I'm also palying these days with Zozo Afrobeat. An amazing 13 piece band lead by Fela alum Kaleta. Check zozoafrobeat.com for more info.

Last but not least I'm still rockin with Paprika, a great band I've been playing sax with for several years. Paprika is Brooklyn's own all-female worldbeat dance and jam band. (Whoa!) We've had a busy year playing all over. We've been everywhere from Hawaii to Canada to Cape Cod . We will rock your birthday, wedding, beach party or bar-mitzvah. For more info on the band and upcoming gigs go to www.myspace.com/paprikamusic

I look forward to seeing you at one gig or another in 2010, please go out and support live music (not just mine). If you would like to get updates via email please sign my mailing list and thanks again for your interest and support.

Peace,

Terry
