Residency at the Hurleyville Makers Lab - February and March 2017

Super excited to announce that I'll be an artist in residence at the Hurleyville Makers Lab for February and March. I'll be designing and building some new sound controllers and working on a community based sonic mapping project. The project will involve soliciting audio files, recorded in the Sullivan/Delaware county area, from the community to use in the project...stayed tuned for details. See you at the Pickled Owl.

Performance at Dunedin Fine Arts Center

Over the weekend of Dec 3rd & 4th I will be in residence at the Dunedin Fine Arts Center.  Some of my instruments have been part of the See/Hear exhibition there since September. On Saturday, December 3rd I'll be doing a demo of some of the instruments in the exhibit, then on Sunday I'll be performing a live set at the art center at 2pm. I'll also be making an appearance on the local radio show "Art in Your Ear" on WMNF, talking about my work and playing some tracks. Looking forward to this whole weekend.

Two performances this weekend at Sideshow Gallery Sept 23&24th

This weekend I'll be doing two performances along with a host of other creative music and sound makers at Sideshow Gallery. It is part of the music series I helped curate accompanying the exhibition SONARE featuring the musical instruments and sonic scupltures of my pals Ken Butler and Edward Potokar. Two nights of music - Friday solo sets by myself and the wonderful Thesis Machado. Saturday a solo set by Daniel Jodacy and a set by The Weird Wednesdays featuring myself, Ken, Ed, Daniel and Ranjit Bhatnagar. Plus maybe some surprise guests. It will a sonic and visual delight...and the perfect antidote to the madness of the world. Come get lost with us.   7:30 Showtime both nights.

Excited and honored to be part of this exhibition at the Dunedin Fine Arts Center.  See/Hear is an invitational exhibition of sound artists and artist-made instruments, featuring sound/video/film installations. I have five of my instruments in the show, including the original "Barp" the first instrument I ever built.  Many other amazing artists in the show too.
